Sherry Sakamoto was a 25-year owner/operator of Pacific Spirit Productions specializing in video production for the corporate world. Her commitment to music and the arts began over 50 years ago supporting her husband, Terry Martyniuk in his musical endeavours, by working as a documentarian and production crew. Volunteering, service and paying-it-forward are values that she embraces with joy. Her love of PRISMA brings a cherished connection to the students and the wondrous music that moves her soul into symphonic journeys.

Doreen Berrington was a professional accountant and spent the last 23 years before retirement in public practice, working with many not-for-profit clients. Since moving to Powell River in 2006 she has volunteered for many organizations including several board positions. Her love of music is second only to her love of the fibre arts.

Kim was a founding board member of the Powell River Hospice Society and is currently on the Hospice House Steering Committee. For several years, Kim has worked tirelessly for the community through her volunteer role as Chair of the Northern Sunshine Coast BC Ferries Advisory Committee.

Cyndi Pallen, a graduate from University of Victoria, carries the name of her great grandmother Cine'. Cyndi works to practice traditional values and teachings through language, songs and dance of the Tla'amin people. She enjoys all kinds of music and coordinates yearly a multi-cultural festival called Wuwoom, which means singing in Tla'amin language.

Katya Buck was born and raised in Powell River, British Columbia. Katya received a Juris Doctor in law from St. Mary's University School of Law, San Antonio, Texas in 2007 and worked as an attorney in San Antonio. In June 2012, Katya joined Villani & Company where she is a regular contributor to the Powell River Peak’s “Law Corner.” and works in the areas of wills and estate planning, probate, corporate, commercial, family law and real estate.
